This was my last wedding of 2015 and what a great way to end the year with this beautiful couple. Maegen and Marcus are so sweet and they are so adorable together. It has been so great getting to know them this past year and being able to document their story and witness their love. They got married at Californos and had a beautiful ceremony and reception. Thank You Maegen and Marcus for letting me be a part of your day. Here are some highlights of their day. Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Turner

TELL US ABOUT HOW YOU MET?
I had been single for about 2 years when I started a whole new career in insurance in 2012. It was there that I met Marcus. We started talking in March and kept our relationship casual for about 7 months, until he got a new job offer at a different company. During our dating phase we enjoyed going to movies, concerts, and sporting events together- especially Royals games.

I came home from on Monday 12/8/2014 tired and stressed. That night while doing dishes Marcus asked if I'd like to join him on a walk with our Labrador named Dobbs. I agreed and we set off on our usually route through the neighborhood. It was a warm night for December. Towards the end of the walk we approached a weeping willow tree that hangs over the sidewalk. Marcus began to ask me if I knew how much He loves me, how much I mean to him and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I said I did- and that I wanted the same. As we walked under the weeping willow tree he asked me if I'd marry him. I casually laughed and said of course I would. At the time I didn't realize what was actually taking place. He then got down on one knee and pull out a black box with my ring inside. One of the cutest parts was our lab sat next to him as he purposed and held my hand. I said yes and we celebrated that night with champagne and burgers at a local dive bar we had our first date at
ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
Once you have all your vendors work on a draft Big Day timeline. While doesn't have to be set in stone until it's closer to the actual day, making a timeline really allows you to see the big picture of your day and allow for back up plans if (and when) something doesn't go according to plan.
I'd also say really know your budget. I used a website online that projected what I should spend on each area of the wedding (i.e. photography, cake, dress, etc) based on the budget I put in. It allowed me to stay focused when I met with vendors or went to bridal shows. It can be tempting to go over in one area, but this site allowed me visually see if I increased on one thing, what other areas would be have to be cut because of it.
